Who spends $350,000 for a tiny Fiat?
Austin-area car dealer Bill Munday, who paid that steep price for Jay Leno’s Fiat 500 Prima Edizione. (Not unlike the generic one pictured.)The money, of course, goes to charity. The Pebble Beach, Cal. auction raised more than $750,000 dollars for Fisher House, which provides services to wounded veterans.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and Army Chief of Staff General Raymond Odierno were among those cheering on the bids, punched up onstage by Leno himself.
Last year, Leno performed similar duties in Austin during the Cow Parade auction for Dell Children’s Medical Center held at ACL Live.
